The gray exterior of Dana Larsen’s tiny store — whose name, like most other psilocybin shops in Canada, is obscured by paintings of Incan gods spewing fire and lightning — masks a mosaic of psychedelia within. There’s a display of hemp lip balm, a selection of stoner-centric comic books and shelves filled with bags of dried mushrooms and microdose capsules. Inside the shop, customers purchase items with names like Psilocybin Ignition and Psilocybin Reloaded, each offering a different dosage of psilocybin.More info:https://www.shroomhub.io/magic-mushroom-montreal/

Magic Mushroom Montreal: A Guide to Safe and Legal Purchase

The store’s operation is illegal since the production and sale of hallucinogenic drugs such as magic mushrooms are prohibited in Canada. A few hours after the FunGuyz store opened, Montreal police raided the location and arrested four people. Despite the raid, the store reopened the following week.

A growing number of Canadians have started seeking out the psychoactive properties of psilocybin, which have been linked to increased empathy and the ability to overcome trauma and addiction. But in Canada, psilocybin remains a Schedule 3 drug under federal law, meaning that possessing and selling the drug can result in prison time.

Even so, dozens of mushroom stores are opening across the country, aided by changing attitudes toward drugs and growing support for medical research on psilocybin. The growth of these shops is reminiscent of the movement to legalize cannabis in Canada, says lawyer Eugene Oscapella, who specializes in drug policy. Like cannabis, however, it could take time for the psilocybin market to become fully regulated.

Fast Mushroom Delivery Canada: What to Expect

Psilocybin, a naturally occurring compound found in more than 200 species of mushrooms known as psilocybin mushrooms or magic mushrooms, has shown promise for treating mental health issues like PTSD and depression. It’s being used in a new type of psychotherapy called psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy. It combines the psychedelic effects of the drug with the support of a therapist who guides the client through the experience and supports integration of these insights for lasting symptom relief.

The philanthropy of a few billionaires is helping to fuel this movement. PayPal founder Peter Thiel, Four-Hour Workweek author Tim Ferriss and Toms Shoes cofounder Blake Mycoskie have invested in the biotech firm Compass Pathways, which is conducting clinical trials on a psilocybin compound that’s being developed as a treatment for depression.

Bob and Renee Parsons’ gift of $5 million to Mount Sinai’s psychedelic research center will help researchers develop protocols for MDMA-assisted psychotherapy, which has been shown to significantly reduce the symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in veterans. The gift will also enable the Bronx VA Medical Research Foundation to train therapists at the hospital and other veterans’ organizations to provide this groundbreaking treatment.
